Anyone found a fab European B and B for a summer holiday?

We're hoping to go away in the summer. Would ideally do a fancy villa type but obviously that's really expensive.

Has anyone used a not too expensive air b n b somewhere sunny in Europe with a pool/access to a pool 2/3 bedrooms that they would recommend?

Can you narrow it down a bit? Budget? Preferred country? Coastal or countryside? Will you have a car with you?

There are thousands of places in France that would suit your needs. Literally thousands, so you need to be a bit more specific about what you fancy. Whereabouts in the UK would you be going from and would you be driving the whole way or flying then hiring a car? How important is reliably hot weather to you?

Sorry didn't want to be too limiting and demanding.

Budget is low. Hoping to manage 1k or less for a week (flights to some places are c cheap so I think this is doable) I've seen quite a few we could manage but no idea If they're actually nice or not, not many reviews/details etc. The places where they don't go all out with detail and thorough photos tend to be cheaper as people are just wanting to whack them on without having to put in too much effort.

Going from London and we do have a car.

It being very hot isn't that important, would be nice but not essential. Just want it to be warm enough to splash about in the pool a lot. I'd be up for not warm weather but then I'd want the house to be nicer IYSWIM so might be prohibitively expensive.

Restricted on going at the most expensive time end of July/beginning of August.

Asking for the earth I know!

Well France is the obvious choice and the less far down you go the cheaper it will be in travel costs but obviously the less reliable the weather.

How old are you children? Day you need to go in peak school holiday time? How many of you would there be?

TournesolsetLavande · 31/01/2018 06:23

Oh sorry I see you just answered the bit about timing.

5 of us children are 5, 3 and 1 and yes we peak holiday.

I'm just asking for air bnb recommendations really as I've seen so so many that look ok and affordable but it's hard to know without recommendations.

Gorgeous B&B no pool but in a lovely little resort with sea and beach a minutes walk away. We found the Jet2holidays package was cheaper than booking independently due to cost of inter island transfer.

Lovely 2 bedroom bungalows on complex with pool

Yes, we spent last summer here, with two kids. Very relaxing time, lovely restaurants nearby. Car is a must. escuelalacrujia.com
