Gran Canaria - April weather/temps

I'm off on holiday for a week (1st week of April) to Gran Canaria with DH, MIL and DS aged 6 and DD aged 3. I have never been to any of the Canary islands before so I am rather clueless.

I'm a bit stuck as to what clothes to pack.
Will it be 'sunbathing' weather - a need for bikinis and swimming costumes?
Is it warm enough to wander about in shorts and t'shirt/strappy summer dresses?
What clothes should I pack for the evening - shorts and t'shirt okay for my children or do they need cardigans, sweaters, leggings, jeans?

Weather sites say temperatures during the day are about 21-25 degrees but another forum some people are saying it's more like high 20s and then I can't find anything accurate (or close) about evening temperatures.

Can anyone help?

We’ve been to Fuerteventura twice in April and it’s been bikini weather. It’s cooler at night so you need a cardi but during the day it was on the beach/in the pool type weather.

Was there last april. Daytimes v warm and lovely, evenings slightly cooler. Hotel swimming pool was FREEZING as it was in heated, so we paddled at the edges but didn’t swim much.
