We are planning a trip to Disney/Florida this summer and as first timers we were wondering if it's better to buy tickets for attractions in advance or when you get there. Can anyone advise?

Definitely in advance, you will probably get the best deals when you book the holiday itself and I recommend this book, it looks like a boot camp plan but it is the best way to get the most out of your time to avoid queues etc. There is also a live app that you get free access to if you have the book that shows queue times and whether the rides are closed etc.

Have a look at the facebook group Its Orlando time. Lots of very knowledgeable people on there and someone will know what the current best deals are. We are going in September and bought tickets late last summer because there was a fabulous deal on at attraction tickets. We stay at a villa, which suits us as there are three of us going from the UK and then another 6 family members from the US who will (hopefully) be coming to join us for all or part of the time. If you aren't confidant at driving, there are plenty of buses from Orlando, or you could stay at Disney. Driving is not as difficult as you expect! I was petrified before my first trip and it was a doddle!

Hope you have fun!

Thanks everyone, we are hopefully going to travel agents tomorrow so we will see what offers they have. 2 adults & 2 older kids (15 & 17) going so we are planning to do villa/car hire rather than stay in a hotel.
