Hand luggage Toiletries...?

Gmex31 · 25/01/2018 21:49

I'm off on holiday next week and for the first time only taking hand luggage...
I know there is an 100ml limit per bottle.
Can I take as many bottles as I want providing each is no more than 100ml?
Also does everything have to be see through? As I'm wanting to take a travel size toothpaste, (50ml) and the tube obviously isn't see through..

Any help would be appreciated! x

They need to all fit in one clear resealable bag measuring max 20x20cm. The items themselves don't need to be in clear packaging

And its liquids, gels and pastes and each container cannot be larger than 100mls. You could buy stuff after security in larger containers

Take a bar of soap as you can use it if you run out of shower gel.

Ofthread · 25/01/2018 21:59

No, you can only take a total of 1000ml

Gmex31 · 25/01/2018 22:08

Can I have more than one resealable bag?

No, only one bag per person.

dementedpixie · 25/01/2018 22:11

Its 1 per person. Are you travelling alone or could you put some stuff in someone else's bag if they have room

FloralSocks · 25/01/2018 22:19

Just buy your shampoo, conditioner and shower gel there. I can guarantee they have shops where you are going

FlatWhiteThankyou · 25/01/2018 22:35

It's a waste to buy toiletries abroad if you can't bring them back.

How long are you going for op?

Gmex31 · 25/01/2018 22:38

1 week x

If it’s a poor country I usually leave them for the cleaning staff at the end of my stay.

If you need any extra toiletries you can usually buy travel sizes in Boots once your are through security. You could buy sun cream there too if you need it.

Almostthere15 · 27/01/2018 08:22

Yes I normally do a boots/Superdrug run after security. It's make up/skin care that takes the bulk of my plastic bag and as it's generally more expensive and less able to pick up just any I prioritise that.

Lush do shampoo and conditioner that looks like a soap bar so would save some of your allocation.

blueskyinmarch · 29/01/2018 18:06

Remember you also need to put liquid makeup in the bag too.

Amyxmarie · 15/02/2018 11:44

Also when going through security remove the clear liquid bad from your hand luggage. If it is in your hand luggage security may take your bag to be searched and scanned again.
