We are going away in March and have booked extra leg room seats for the 6 hour flight. Last time we went 6ft 5 OH was in pain by the time we landed after sitting in the usual seats.
On the website - although we have email confirmation of the seats we selected it does say they are not guaranteed until check in..... does this mean we may not get the seats we selected despite paying for them? What happens if we arrive on the day and we don’t have the seats and we have been separated (flying with DD who is 5).

That’s what it means, but very unlikely.

If you ate seperated then you sit in seperate seats for the flight or kindly ask someone to move for you. I highly doubt they will make a 5 year old sit near two strangers away from their parents.

There’s nothing you can do until you turn up so I wouldn’t waste your energy worrying about it.

If the extra legroom seats are by the emergency exit your son won't be allowed to sit in them. When DD was under 16 we wen't allowed to book an extra legroom seat for her.

No they aren't, apparently the extra space seats are now the ones by the emergency exits and extra leg room are just towards the front of the plane. It said on the row we selected suitable for adult traveling with child.
Young kids would probably be the quickest at getting out in an emergency lol

That's good. Hopefully you should be fine then.
