Every summer I’m faced with the same challenge: What to do over this very long school holiday (without going bankrupt or driving my family crazy) with two soon-to-be 12 year old boys. I will still be working (remotely) and have an idea I wanted to put out there in case anyone else is in my predicament. We are regular visitors to Koh Samui, Thailand. I am thinking of renting a villa there for 5 weeks mid Julyish to mid Augustish and organizing a mini-summer-camp with a couple of other families where we take it in turns looking after our tribe of children a couple of days a week each. Or possibly organizing something more formal and hiring someone between us to keep the kids active, happy, healthy and off their devices. My boys just want to play with other kids all day every day! Open to all kids of all ages – for any amount of time - teenagers could maybe get some ‘work experience’. Let me know if this resonates with anyone and then we can talk more.
