Hi,

We're thinking of going there in August. Can anyone tell me if there's the voucher book the Entertainer(or similar)Book for SF? Or anything better for deals? Thanks

Hi Chips,

When are you going? We're looking at the middle of August. Maybe we can share info so we get the best deals? I hear Alcatraz is a must as is the Muir Woods.

I've found this earlier.

It would be nice to have some feedback from a local or someone who's just been and used it so I know it's not an internet con.

We have one for the country we live in and it genuinely does save us a fortune.

We’re flying in to Vancouver and out of SF so I’m flexible on how many days we stay there. We’ll be heading to San Diego and LA in the middle of those two so I’m trying to maximize time in all the cities without exhausting us or wishing we’d left a day earlier. Easy job ... not!

I visited SF last summer, Alcatraz is a real must do, but I don’t think you’ll find any kind of discount on visiting the island (as opposed to just sailing around it) because its run by the National parks. My top tip would be to book your time slot as soon as you can (I think it’s sixty days in advance) and book the first sailing of the day. That way you get to do the tour before it gets crowded, and you can be back on the mainland for lunch (food isn’t available or allowed on the island).
