Hi OP,
We went here when our kids were 2/7/8 and again the next year, so they were 3/8/10.
We had never been to a campsite before so were unsure of what to expect. It was brilliant!
We rented a Cabane Robinson, our 'tree house' as the boys called it. Set in woods, lovely and peaceful, hammock outside, all mod cons (except oven) inside. We booked a gas BBQ for the stay too, which was useful. Whatever you get I'd make sure it has aircon!
It's right on a beach, has shops etc on site, a fun fountain play place, amazing bakery/patisserie, good butchers, a restaurant which also does a take away. You get bikes with it and can hire smaller ones for the kids.
Good towns nearby to visit for the day too, look for the market days.
Our kids really enjoyed these holidays, and the only negative I would say is that they built more houses/pitches and so the pool can get quite crowded, but other than that I really recommend it.

There is a kids club for a few hours in the morning and afternoon, and if they make friends it is safe enough for them to go and play table tennis or go to the shop or something. Also a merry go round/trampolines etc in the evening and lots of little playgrounds etc about.

I'd suggest Sanguli in Spain for a number of reasons:
12km from nearest airport
200m from beach
4km from Portventura (one of largest theme parks in Europe) Tickets available from the reception.
Loads to do including four pool complexes, crazy golf, bike hire (baby seats available), trampolining, two kids clubs, nearby towns for sightseeing and outside theatre for shows.
You're pretty much guaranteed good weather, but it's not so far south that it will be unbearable.
