Thinking of going on family holiday to Mexico in July- has anyone been? Worried as they say it's beginning of hurricane season

Have been in July to Mexico at start of UK school holidays. Had a great time. Some impressive rain showers (refreshing) and the sea got a bit choppy on one day . Some evenings had a lightening show in the distance. You may not get all day sun every day. End of August in Florida was worse! As you said it is at the beginning of the hurricane season. We thought it worth it however are not sun bathing fans.

We went to Mexico in July - weather was lovely. If you look it up, I think you will find hurricanes are mostly towards Sept/October.
