As Habitat are showing little interest, I am warning anyone who uses a lamp with a switch on the cord to check this for safety. With no visible wear, our year old lamp completely burn through the switch and could have caused a fire if it had not been noticed in time. Although (after a lot of correspondence) the lamp was tested, they have not provided a report or warned other users. They appear to be more interested in their returns policy than safety and customer service. Please check your light switches, especially if you use the lamp in a child's bedroom.
