Anyone been? We're thinking of it but not sure if it's worth the trek.

Batey, depends where you live I suppose as to whether it's worth the trek but i'd say definitley yes, I think it's agreat place for kids. A good day out.

We love Monkey World - but it's only 20 mins from us. As well as all the monkeys they have a huge newish play area as well as a smaller area near to the front section. We will spend the whole day there as the children love playing between watching the monkeys. The large picnic areas are nice too.

I would definitely recommend it

Yes..Yes...Yes...
I adopted part of a chimp, not sure which part, knowing my luck it was the bottom but his name is Paquito, and he is one of the 'bachelor boys' and when I visit I take him an ice lolly, orange is his favourite.
They really do great work there and as you can guess I am within a stones throw of it so visit quite rgularly to see my little 'bachelor boy' so if you go, say hello to him.
My dh has partly adopted 'onion', an orangutan, who's mother is called sage! Onion is soooo sweet. In case you have not realised I think Monkey World is just the best!

Last year when we went there, there was one monkey who was pooing into his hand and then closely examining the result - was that your one Bunglie?!
Highly reccommended (not just for the poo stories either!)

Monkey World holds a special place in my life. When I was early pg we watched a whole day of documentaries about the place and we visited when I was 8 mnths pg. My dh found one little window and it was an abandoned baby orangutan just sitting in the window surrounded by toys, he touched the window and swore that the baby orangutan touched his hand up to the window too and he wept (awww don't puke, my dh is not one for making things up) all our friends laughed at him but he said it was a defining moment when he knew something special happened, anyway our dd was born and from the back with her long black hair she looks like a little chimp (I know, different species, indulge me)

Monkey World is a great day out for everyone. Does involve a lot of walking so if you have little ones take your pushchairs! Also really need to have reasonable weather to make it a good day. Have fun!
