Stop over between Calais and Brittany

We've just booked a week in Brittany in July with the sun holiday vouchers (bargain!) but we'd like to do a few days either side driving through France and top up to 10/14 days away. I'm not too familiar with the north of France so I wondered if anyone has any recommendations for stopping off for a few days along the way from Calais to Brittany and again on the way home. We have already done Disney Paris and a eurocamp in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme in the past, but would like to try somewhere different. Don't mind if it's another eurocamp place, hotel or apartments, but would like a nice town or village nearby and things for the kids to do (age 11 and 9).
Many thanks Smile

La Domaine du Val in Normandy is a very handy stop over. It's a selection of varying sized cabins, indoor swimming pool, playground, indoor play area, football ground, trampoline, table tennis, bar serving food (with children's area) and gym. What makes it special are the original features, such as the vegetable patch (free produce handed out to guests twice a week), beehive, onsite animals, discovery trail, wicker tepees with picnic tables... It's not in a town, but there's more than enough to do nearby. We went pony trekking on the beach, seal safari and rode the nearby steam train though the nature reserve.

That sounds just what we are looking for! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I'll go and have a look now. Smile
