Where to go in New England?

Planning a visit to America’s New England .
Anyone got any suggestions on which places are not to be missed?

Loved Newport, the homes and the history behind them. Some are open to the public, we toured Doris Duke's home,fascinating if you like to see how the other half lived.

Providence, Nantucket, Salem, Martha's Vineyard..... this is my dream holiday for when I retire!

Ooops. I love Cape Cod. You can drive round it easily and it's full of amazing beaches and seafood shacks. Go to Hyannis and take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.
Don't know if you ever watched Dawson's Creek in the 1990s but it's all like that. Just idyllic even out of Summer Season.

Too late for the leaves then. Most people go beginning of oct for the leaves, they will of gone by hallowe'en.

We headed up to Stowe in Vermont too. Lovely. Ben & Jerry's factory visit. Small scale place and Bloody marvellous!

Whale watching too was a highlight
