Holiday ideas needed!

My husband and I are looking to book a holiday with our 6 month old baby but haven’t a clue where to start. We used to like long haul beach holidays - lots of lounging around a pool with a cocktail in Thailand or the Caribbean. Obviously that’s not going to work with a baby! (Or not our baby anyway - she’s not the easiest baby...!)

We were thinking somewhere in Europe, not too long a flight or too big a time difference, but not sure past that. Can a pool resort type holiday work with a baby? Does anyone have any recommendations of good places or resorts to go?

Also are there any tips for travelling with a baby? I’m terrified of the plane tbh and not sure if there’s anything other than the normal stuff that I need to think about packing?

Any help at all would be much appreciated!

How long for? What time of year? What’s your budget?

You can find some lovely places to stay even with a baby and get some rest but it will likely look different to how holidays looked pre children!

Babies at 6 mo travel well ime it gets harder when they properly start to move about.

Look at princesa yaiza; Lanzarote, martinhal-Portugal, abama Tenerife, Porto pollensa,
Tots too travel baby friendly boltholes and mr and mrs smith family offer a range of options

I wish I'd discovered cruising with just one (or even two) DC.

On board well trained childcare so you can enjoy leisurely meals/ swims/ cinema etc knowing DC are safe, choice of restaurants, gyms, pools, casino etc. Comfortable rooms with room service.

Easy to get pushchair around and new (ports) locations to explore for a bit every day or so.

No flight necessary round trip uk to uk options.
