Hi

Considering both these campsites this year for holiday family of 5 - children age 10/8/2
Sporty, love pools activities
Love visiting Italian towns (previously stayed lake Garda and Rome areas)

Can anyone comment on either campsite pros and cons ?

Thank you

Haven’t stayed at either but looking for inspiration my two are 13 and 14 and love the same things plus kids similar ages.

You might be better asking on Trip Adviser to see whether members with children similar ages to yours could advise.

Stayed at girasole a couple of times a long time ago (about 15 years) and it was fab. We went to Florence, Arezzo, Siena and San Gimignano. But the site itself was brill and had everything the kids needed.

We went to Parc Albatross last summer but just for a few days. It is pretty huge. Our kids (who were then 5,8, 10 and 14) loved it and made lots of friends. Our 14 yr old had lots of people from Holland and Ireland to hang out with. The dome in the middle of the pool was often the preserve of teenagers though life guards did kick them off every so often. You could only do ‘proper’ swimming for a brief period in the morning as the pools were rammed. So I’d say it depends what you want from a site. It was great for us because we could relax for a few days while kids entertained themselves but it is a bit bonkers! We were there in the heatwave last summer so ditched plans to visit Rome. Had a brilliant time in Florence but we stayed in an apartment there.

Thanks for the info! That does help, we re thinking of June/ early July time. I wk see if it s as busy then? That heatwave was hard work I would have ditched anything other than pools too :)
