Norwegian cruise and northern lights info please.

I only know that I would love to see some of the landscape including fjords and try to see the northern lights and the best time is winter.
Any recommendations, tips and info please?

Hurtegrutin (sp) are supply ships who do cruises at the same time. Offer on atm which offers 2nd cruise with them if you don't see the northern lights.

I did a cruise to the Northern Lights and fjords. It was in February a few years ago and was one of the best trips I have done. It was simply spectacular. Very cold, we needed several layers on to go outside. We were given jackets, boot grips and walking poles for shore excursions. There were a few people who got broken bones, as the decks were a sheet of ice. We saw the northern lights most nights once we were in the Arctic circle, and when you are at sea there is no light pollution so it is even better than on land. Have a look at Hurtigruten, as this is their speciality.

There are a few cruise lines which go up into the North Cape from the UK. You could also look at Fred Olsen, Cunard etc. It depends what sort of experience you want. Also you have to bear in mind that the seas can be quite rough too! We had an excursion to the Polar Zoo in Narvik which was amazing. Also it is dark most of the day. I will never forget the experience. Do it!
