We live offshore and planning to surprise OH which a weekend away (Fri-Sun). We love Hurley and have provisionally booked Hand & Flowers (though wasn't 100% impressed last time) but thinking might be good to try somewhere new.
Any recommendations? Scotland and Wales are out as won't work for 3 day weekend and same with Bath. Thinking either New Forest (particularly Brockenhurst) or maybe Winchester or Yorkshire. Do you have any recommendations for nice hotels/boutique b&b's/restaurants?
We like nice but are not snobby and don't like too much fuss.
