I’m very excited to have booked our summer holiday.

We have been before but would love to hear of any unknown gems in this area of Majorca.

TIA

Mirador La Victoria for lunch. It has a website so you can look it up. Stunning views. Phone beforehand and book and edge table.

Thanks v much.

Can I ask why lunch rather than dinner?

I thought it looked miles away from where we’re staying on the map, but only 14 mins drive, perfect.

Are there any really pretty villages to visit, or interesting areas like the Greek islands have?

It’s just a short drive over to Puerto Pollensa if you fancy a change of beach.

Pollensa old town is lovely. Grab an ice cream and sit in the square watching the world go by.

Cap de formentor lighthouse with its stunning sunset. We had a hire car but I'm sure coaches go there too Smile

The likes of Deia and Soller at the other side are lovely - beautiful drive through the mountains but a bit of a trek.

Flashinggreen · 18/01/2018 05:41

When you say a bit of a trek, how long do you think it would take to drive?

I do fancy hiring a car for a few days and exploring, not just staying round Alcudia. We have been before and to Puerto Pollensa but not really made the most of it I think.

We’re staying in the Viva Sunrise SC so not tied to the hotel and think we may need to get out some days.

Campanet isn't too far away and may be worth a visit. A look around the caves www.covesdecampanet.com/en/

Followed by drinks and something to eat on the village square which is pretty and has a nice atmosphere.
