Car seat advice-airbags.....

My car seat insruction manual says that you should contact your car manifacturar to find out if you can put a forward facing car seat in the front with an air bag.
Does anyone know if you can in a renault scenic?

Check your handbook. In our vectra that stated that we could use a forward facing seat as long as hte passenger seat was as far back as it could go.

Also some cars have a function where you can switch off the passendger seat airbag...

in dh's renault ( not a scenic though) told not to put car seat in front seats with airbags.

It cant be deactivated.I could get rid of it but would rather not.Im a childminder so need to do something.Thanx guys.

I called renaukt and they said no.
