March holiday ideas

Hi all,

My DH and I have a week off in March (first week)
However no idea where to go we have been to futureventura in the winter before all inclusive and being honest were a tad bored as there was not much to do on the island. Thinking of maybe some sun but we like to site see rather than lay in the sun.
Any suggestions of places we could go and enjoy.
We already have Italy booked for July.


Madeira is lovely. Weather can be mixed but lots to see and some fab hotels. Funchal is a great place to visit if you like relaxed pottering about, and there's plenty to see around the island.

What about a city break? Rome, Paris, Athens, Barcelona, krakow, Lisbon?
Or try another Canary Island or Malta?
Further afield Cape Verde, Goa, S or North Africa?
