Do you think this is possible?... 2 adults... 3 dc teenagers... Looking into flights... But noticed if you only take handluggage it's a lot cheaper!... Do you think it's possible to go to Canada for 3 weeks... West Coast... With just hand luggage??... Anyone managed to do this??... Will be staying at Airbnb... Hotels along the way!...

Or is this a very foolish idea??

We went to Canada for three weeks last summer with Air Transat. Luggage was included.
I couldn’t have done it with just hand luggage. Weather varies so you need a few different things, esp shoes (as someone else has said).
We had a brilliant time. Don’t know what to do this summer now as nothing seems to compare!

Thanks all... All sorted now! Will be doing hand luggage and a suitcase or two extra but will try to travel light as don't fancy hauling extra suitcases around!

Thanks all again for helpful replies... X

Travelling light makes so much sense, disregarding hand/hold luggage.

Getting your teens used to packing one bag, being responsible for it and carrying it with them is a very important life lesson I think!

Easier to get trains/buses/taxis.

No need to find left luggage facilities on check in or check out days.

Loads of advantages.
