My birthday - just me and baby on a weekday - ideas?

my birthday falls on a random Tuesday - no one is around so I want to plan some kind of special day out just me and my 10 month old.

Any ideas in or around London?

Few points
She's formula fed so i'll take bottles
It's Winter
Cheap and cheerful would be great!
Something a bit different/special.....

Are you bookish? I think I'd head for the big Waterstones on Piccadilly, have a mooch there, then go somewhere nice nearby for lunch (maybe the upstairs cafe bit of Brasserie Zedel? Not hugely spendy - £7 for a baguette). If it's a bright day and LO is amenable, you could wander through Green Park down to St James, or if it's too cold, you're not far from the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery.

A museum? Hamleys? A mooch about Harrods (maybe treat yourself to a glass of something or an over priced but exciting ice cream sundae? Nosing around Covent Garden, neals yard? Maybe these things are special enough...

Anything you are into or really enjoy doing?

I'd recommend going to see Princess Diana's dresses exhibition at Kensington Palace, but take a baby carrier because there's very little space to manoeuvre a pushchair around in the exhibition. The palace also has a large shop, tearooms and some very pretty walks if it's not raining.
