Eurostar / Paris Day Trip with 10 month old?

I'm thinking of going to Paris for the day with my 10m old baby before my maternity ends.

Is this a terrible idea!?

I have only ever been and used the metro system so that probably won't work with a buggy

Can you even get on the eurostar with a pram?

Any advice or thoughts appreciated if you have done this.

Worried about nappy changing and things too - so all advice welcome. its just an idea at the moment. I'd be going alone with the baby so if you think it will be trouble its best to know now!

Few things -

She's formula fed so I'd take bottles with me
Id need to know where some baby changing rooms are
Probably would use the bus only - are they baby friendly
i don't speak French

thanks in advance!

You can take a folding pushchair or pram for free in addition to your luggage allowance.

On buses you'll have to use the central door (usually the exit) but they won't mind. There's normally space to park two buggies in a bus. Just avoid using buses at busy times of day and eyeball anyone standing in these sections.

Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores have clean, well- equipped nappy-changing facilities, as does the Poussette Café and Les 400 Coups.
