Holiday ideas for widowed parent

My dad was widowed 10 months ago and is starting to adapt to life without my mum. He wants to book a holiday next year and is looking at things like Saga holidays aimed at single people.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend any alternatives to look at? Ideally want somewhere that’s geared up for solo travellers, maybe with some organised activities people can join in with. I’m guessing that there must be companies out there catering for this market.....

My mum often goes away with Skyros travel.

My FIL goes away with a local coach company.
He always finds it a mixture of couples and other single people.
It's been great for him and he's made some good friends.

I know some people who really enjoy going on a cruise holidays.
