Which destination would you pick.?

Ok..to summarize....3 destinations as the price of flights is really cheap...last week in August,...2 adults and 3 bits who will be 14,11 and 9. Enjoy off the beaten path...water slides....exploring...not massive spend all day on the beach people...kids are very open to adventure and exposure to new foods/ locations. We want t9 keep things more simple this year for financial reasons.

If it was you...where could you build a holiday around....fly into:

Faro
Alicante
Palma de Majorca

Like to avoid tourist traps, happy to rent a car....open to ideas...boys love exploiting new villages etc with some water park thrown in.

Majorca would be my pick. I found the Algarve cheaper though. I'd go back to both.

Fly to Faro but then cross the border into Spain and go to Isla Canela.
It’s about 45 minutes from Faro, is not a tourist trap and cheaper than a lot of more popular areas
Definitely hire a car and explore, you could go as far as Seville if you wanted to
