Thinking about a Solo trip to Norway.. Stavanger or Alesund?

Anyone been to Norway and can recommend these places? They both look beautiful and I've spotted some cheap flights and accommodation.. I like the fact that nature is on your doorstep.
This will be my first trip abroad alone, although I have travelled lots with other people, mostly DP. DP doesn't fancy Norway but I've always wanted to go.. I have a bit of spare cash to go for a few days and stay somewhere budget friendly. I've had an awful year and am really tempted.. A few questions though; would people think it strange that I'm travelling alone/Are people friendly generally in Norway? Is it dreadfully expensive? I know Denmark is so I'm expecting similar - but do you think I could get by on say £150 spending for 2 and a half days ? (I won't be eating out at restaurants or I don't plan to - maybe one night).
Is Norway is safe and relatively crime free...?

If I book I will be flying SAS or Norwegian, has anyone any positive experiences of using these airlines?

Thank you.

Norway is beautiful. Utterly beautiful. I don’t think people will notice or care that you are alone. They are friendly but not overly- Norwegians tend not to say thank you or please but it’s not rudeness just efficiency. Good service everywhere and everyone speaks English.
Horrifically expensive for food etc and not great if you don’t eat meat/fish. Take snacks! I’d say very safe and clean and public transport is good.
It’s my favourite country of those I’ve visited and I want to go back!
