so upset just 1 month validity

I was so stupid not see our passports till Saturday night n shock see my girl aged 6 passport expired end of January 2018 n i spend lot of hour on phone try to sort it out . as m going in 3 days time !! 20 Dec !!

they don't have 1 day fast track just 7 days m really upset . so the next appointment is Tuesday just 1 day away n how can I persaude to let her issue me same day. other people I heard got same day just 4 hour a few months ago even she's under 16 !!! really upset they refuse let my girl on 1 month validity as I'm return UK 31 Dec so I leave 20 Dec just 10 day n plenty of time for her passport to expired . but they sais must 6 months . I take full responsible as I have 8 year on passport left . really upset. so now I can't sleep all night n again today Sunday. time really so slow wait for Tuesday . Monday all appointment full n I can't drive 3 hour to other place as my girl need go school.

hope Liverpool office accept renewal new passport same day Tuesday 19 Dec then happily go holiday 20 Dec Wednesday. I print out email proof of I book tickets october.

They should do it same day for you. I renewed mine that way this year at the London office, dropped the form and documents off at my lunchtime appointment and it was ready 4 hours later. Just make sure you have filled in the form correctly and have any supporting documents and photos with you.

I was told 1 day same day not allow . how did u manage get 1 day!! it's for child renewal . I'm going have 2nd form counter sign in case if they can't call 1st one as she's going on holiday same time my appointment !

I even pack my passport plus her child certicste birth plus child tax credit n join bank account to show she's my daughter not kidnapper or something for that 7 days . really upset wait for 3.30pm Tuesday appibtmbet for child renewal. is this same one you apply child renewal n got same day ? Saturday to Tuesday no appointment just 3.30 n later !!

Have you phoned Dubai foreign office, we did when my mums had 1month 2 days before we went to Mexico.

Child passports aren't eligible for the 1 day service.
I think you need to consider what you will do if the passport can't be renewed before your flight, and hope that they will renew at the appointment. Sorry.

Mexico only require the passport to be valid for the duration if the stay. The UAE ask for 6 month validity, hence the issue.
I don't know how stick they would be on a child's passport, but the airline will refuse to fly you if they believe you would not be granted entry.

They won't do the 1 day service for children. We had same issue back in March - had flights to Bangkok leaving in 3 days. We offered to come see them in person (both parents) but they said it wouldn't make any difference. We had all the paperwork, etc.

In the end, we got them 4 days after appointment.

I'd start looking re whether you can get a refund on your flights and hotel or move them to another date.

we had an issue with a passport and they wouldn't do it quicker either - sorry! I think you need to speak to the airline and see if they will move the flight date for you. the passport office have to be incredibly careful with childrens passports in case it is one parent trying to take a child out of the country without the others permission.
