What sort of weather can we expect in Prague mid April?

Never been to any of the Eastern European countries. Think the flights are only one a week.
Would that be too long?
Are Czech people welcoming to uk visitors.
What sort of food could we expect?
How safe is it for two old codgers.

Prague is gorgeous and there will be tons of tourists. Not sure where you’re flying from, but from London there are many flights every day that go there. Weather could go either way so you’ll need to check just before you leave. However, I’d probably expect 10-15 degrees in spring.

Foodwise, there’ll be a lot of international restaurants but local specialties will be available. Local cuisine is your central European fare: gulash, dumplings, duck, geese, soups etc. Maybe a bit similar to German food. Czech is also famous for some of the best beer in the world so that will be worth trying.

On the safety front, I wouldn’t worry. Just beware of pickpockets like you would be in any big city.
