Manchester arena car parking

Going to a show on Saturday. I know it's a massively busy weekend with Christmas markets going on. Just wondering best place to park for the Arena or what you guys can recommend

The Christmas market is quite a long way from The Arena but yes Mancheaternwill be busy.
The Arena does have its own parking but there is also an unmade open air one opposite that we usually use. Can’t remebe the name but it’s near the Boddingtons Brewery

I was there last week (at car park opposite MEN arena). It was very busy and it is a popular car park as it is cheap (for Manchester) - get there as early as possible.

You can book a car parking spot. Obviously it ain't cheap but saves the aggro.

When you drive on any of the main roads when you get near to the arena you will see guys stood on the end of roads in hiz-viz jackets directing event goers to private business car parks who let people park there for less cost than official parking. I don't know the names of any of the streets but they're really close by. We always use them and have never had any problems (ie car being broken in or vandalised etc)

There's one right opposite the back of the arena too.

If you can park out of town, near a tram station, trams go out of Victoria. Much easier than trying to get out of the multi-storey.

I like to park on the road where the travelodge is

Thanks guys. Hoping to get there around 3:30 at the latest. Gone are the days if stopping over and been child free ;)

Not too keen on the idea of the metro link, did toy with the idea or taxi to a car park I'm familiar with.
