So I want to book a hol for the first week of summer holidays. I like a little luxury so prefer to go min of 4*

My only real specific is that it has to be practically on a lovely beach suitable for a 5yo with a few decent restaurants within a short-ish walk.

So where've you been that you'd recommend? I'd love some inspiration, I'm feeling completely uninspired... TIA

We have a similar dilema, curreently looking at aparthotels with kids activities in Menorca, as lots of mumsnetters say it is great for young children.

Have done villa hoildays for past few years, and DD needs a little more in terms of stimulation now she is almost 5.

I've seen a nice place on NissiBeach, arthotel, they are bungalows and looks like the patio doors open on to a garden area which look ok but was put of Cyprus by Limmassol

My sister stayed at Alexander the Great hotel in Paphos - much nicer than Limassol apparently - but bakingly hot (40 deg plus) in August.

that's the only thing.. I love the heat/sun but dp and dd don't get on so well so probably too hot for them.. Majorca might be nice, some nice beaches there I think but have only visited Sa Coma

Puerto Pollensa in Majorca is good. Lovely beach. Very family orientated resort, no tack. There are two really good places Club del Sol aparthotel and Hotel Uryal(??). Avoid the Pollensa Park Hotel though, bad reports from everyone I have spoken to.

try the miramar in puerto pollensa it has real old fashioned charm and they are great with kids
