Spain? - self catering / villa near a beach & an airport?

Am looking for something for half term - ideally near a beach & quite near an airport. It doesn't have to be Spain - anywhere not too far really. It definately must be self-catering appartment or villa type place. There must be loads out there, but I'm not sure where to start and also would love to hear any recomendations.

sorry can't help but if you do manage to find somewhere let me know as i'd like the same for next year.IME most villas tend to be in the middle of no-where or you need to drive to get to local amenities.my hubby refuses to drive when on holiday as he drives for a living so,fair enough he wants a holiday from driving too and i don't drive.good luck finding somewhere!!

ownersdirect is a web site we have used 3 times always been good. we stayed in a lovely villa in Javea at new year wit hheated pool that way perfect.

calla en porter is ideal if you don't want to drive and is closer to airport, we have been there a few times the only down side is that there are a lot of steps to get down to the beach althou you can take the land train down.

Coming a bit late to this post, but I thought I'd recommend Asturias, in Northern Spain. I have an ad for self-catering cottages here . Half term is an excellent time to go. The weather should be really good and the beaches will be practically deserted. Most of the houses are within an hour from two airports. Get in touch if you want any specific recommendations on places good for kiddies.
