Easiest and/or quickest and/or cheapest way to get to CORK from YORKSHIRE...?

Has anyone travelled from Yorkshire to Cork? Or from anywhere to Cork (we wouldn't mind driving a bit of distance to an airport/ferry port)? I'm trying to find reasonably priced flights or ferries but not having much look through google.
Any tips appreciated.

You can fly to Dublin cheaply from Leeds/Bradford (I got a return for under £50 including all taxes). Could you fly to Dublin and get a train? (Not sure about this, as I as only going to Dublin, so didn't look into getting anywhere else...)

Thanks Ellbell, I've done Leeds/Bradford to Dublin before for about £20 IIRC, but the costs for Cork that I can find are about £140!

Fly to Dublin and hire a car.

Drive to Holyhead and take the ferry.

Is there a Ferry from Holyhead to Cork, or do you mean Holyhead to Dublin?
I was hoping to get to Cork fairly quickly and/or cheaply but it doesn't look possible

At the moment there are no ferries going directly to Cork from the UK (the Swansea-Cork ferry is not operating this year). So it's either Holyhead-Dublin or Fishguard/Pembroke-Rosslare, with a longish drive on to Cork from both.

There should be direct flights from airports like East Midlands, Manchester, etc

Thanks KTeePee, think we'll give it a miss this time, it seems far too long and expensive to get to (we're thinking just for a weekend).

Definitely wouldn't go by ferry just for the weekend!

should be cheap flights from Liverpool Airport to Cork on Ryanair.

We flew to Cork from Liverpool or Birmingham, but that was a few years back.
