I wondered if anyone could give me any advice about whether Paris is a good place to go for Christmas with two youngish children.

What sort of attractions would you recommend? I guess The Eiffel Tower is a must ? Notre Dame. I haven't been for some many years!

Any good areas to visit or restaurants?
Can anyone recommend a child friendly hotel with easy travel links?

The older DC loves art and would definitely be interested in art galleries, younger DC is starting to be interested too but would obviously get bored more quickly.
We all love good food, I love people watching/ arty places off the beaten track, maybe markets. Older DC is similar and would like this, younger one quite easily entertained still!

Thank you in advance!

Yes.

I did however find it hard to get round Paris in terms of cabs and buses...one night was quite late and we would have preferred to get a taxi but unlike London there were not any and there are a rougher element to Paris than London. I can walk round all the sights in London and never get approached by aggressive people trying to con you, not so in Paris.

We went to gorgeous play area near Eiffel tower and had t leave when group of middle age men came in - leering at the dc ,drinking, smoking and peeing in there.

So - I would be prepared for this. But I would def go! Its so beautiful, my dd was entranced by the acts outside the Notre damn, fire eaters etc, the ET lit up at night, beautiful and of course disney paris for the day/night? there is another beautiful play ground with rides called Jardin Acclimation for DC.

Momatre was heaving when we went, never seen it so busy wasn't fun, but loved area around Notre Damn esp.
