Hi I was wondering if anyone knows much about Seville? And could recommend good reasonable accommodation there in a Central location basically nearest the cathedral if possible?
Also how many days would you suggest there, would like to see cultural/historic sites etc.
Thanks :)

Are you taking kids? How many? How old?

Can you make it multi centre and do Granada and Córdoba as well? I've been to all three and now deciding between them for a January break and can't!

So following here for Seville tips.

Hotel Simon is almost spitting difference of the cathedral. Basic but charming and super central. We did 2 x overnight stays either end of a week in the Sierra de Aracena. I would have happily stayed 3 or 4 days even with kids 7 and 10 in tow. I loved Seville although it was it very hot even in May.

For a good hotel, check the site travelicita.com/Hotels

Always shows you a distance from the center and the prices are the cheapest I have found

The city itself is pretty small so no need to worry too much about whether you are "central".

There are plenty of nice-looking airbnbs at very good prices.

Love Seville! I've not stayed too centrally so can't really comment on hotels, but everywhere is pretty easily walkable.

I'd maybe say 3 days... Book for the Real Alcazar to avoid the queue, and I think you might need to do for the Cathedral at the moment. Make sure you cross the river for drinks/dinner along Calle Betis. I only discovered Plaza De Espana on my most recent visit and it's gorgeous - total must see. Go up on the Metropol Parasol for sunset.

If you want to treat yourself then brunch at the Alfonso xiii is fantastic and there is a rooftop bar next to the cathedral with lovely views over it (lit at night). Also would recommend the Aire de Sevilla spa if you're not there with DC.

Just one tip too, which I totally didn't expect for a large city - shops are all closed on Sunday.
