Hi

I'd like to go away for a few days (4 or 5) with my 18 month old dd but no idea where!

It's just me and dd, not a lot of money but a desperate need to have a break.

Any ideas or advice would be fab!

Have car, have passports...........

hmmm, I'm rubbish with threads like this but wanted to try to help...

I took ds to centre parcs up in the lake district which was great, plenty to do for both of us and very child friendly! We loved it. Weather didn't matter either. But probably not the cheapest option!

How about the Lake District? Find a nice chile friendly hotel with a swimming pool etc? Lots of walking, perhaps boat rides, feed the ducks etc etc - to tire dd out!

Or the south coast? Especially if the weather is nice...

You need somewhere as child friendly as possible with dd being so young. But somewhere you can relax too..

Or how about a trip over to Spain. Flights to places like Palma Nova are cheap at this time of year and you should get relatively good weather. Nice swimming pool, sun, and a beach... few cocktails for you... everyone's happy

If you fancy going abroad why not have a look on easy jet or ryanair and see what flights come up cheapest...?

I'm rubbish! Anyone got any good ideas??....

thanks MLS, good ideas.

parents have invited me to join them in france in june.

it's tempting but they might drive me more insane than i already feel!

am a bit nervous of going away alone with dd tho.

centre parcs would be fab but exy as you say.

tbh, don't think i can wait till june to get away tho!

loads of nice places in this country too. why don't you do a search on late rooms.com, see what comes up in a nice area, then pack the car up and go!!

France sounds great too - as long as you have plenty of time alone with dd to do your own thing of course!!
