Hotels/b&b near bath?

Hi. After xmas my family and I from abroad plan to visit bath. However, the hotel prices in bath are quite expensive.

Any suggestions of nearby towns/villages with reasonably priced hotels that have good access to bath by car or public transport.

Hi, if you have a car then try looking at Corsham, Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Box or Marshfield. They're all within a (nice) 30 minute drive of bath. If you want to use the train then try Chippenham, they have a direct train to Bath that takes about 30 minutes.

Have a look at rhe Hunters Rest its in in Clutton which is about 10 miles from Bath but a very quick and easy drive into Bath
Lovely food and rooms as well and a great garden
I went there for a wedding last year and stayed overnight really enjoyed myself
