Any tips for Cyprus (october half term)

We are just back from an amazing 8 day trip to Italy. But it was hectic. Next half term we all want somewhere relaxing. We thought about Cyprus, somewhere beachy with days out available. We have never done AI but we are open to it, although we are also happy in an apartment or villa. Any recommendations?

We went to Cyprus at the beginning of December a few years ago, and it was lovely. Stayed in a hotel just outside Limassol, so we were quite central an we hired a car (they drive on the left there although some of the driving is... interesting!) We weren't AI but found food from the restaurants very reasonably priced. We went to a number of the archaeological sites near Paphos. If we'd have had more time we would have gone to the north east into the Turkish area too, as I've heard there's a decent amount to see in Nicosia.

Thank you, what was the weather like then? We would like some sun but not heatwave hot!

we have been mid oct and it was high 20's each day with one day of thunder/rain and one of cloud (in 2 weeks). needed a fleece and jeans at night sometimes

food is huge portions in each of the restaurants we went to

In December it was low 20s and sunny during the day. Chilly at night though.
