Looking for hotel recommendations in Playacar or further south (def not Cancun). Prefer 4/5 star but there are too many to choose from! With teenagers but they’re happy by pool and on beach rather than having lots of organised activities. Has anyone stayed somewhere nice?

We stayed at the Sandra Eco Resort a few years ago and loved it - it’s AI which I swore I’d never do but several restaurants all with great food, lovely beach, good pools and so easy to get out and see the local sites and towns - we did a trip out of the resort every day to cenotes, ruins, a day in Tulum etc. rooms really clean and huge and comfortable
