what age are the children?

I'll be adding this to my watch list. We're self catering at Haven next month with 2 kids.

My DS's are 26mths and 8mths, I'll start packing about a week before we go I expect.

anything you can't live without or don't want to buy at inflated prices when you get there. Also enough food for a meal if everything is shut - beans on toast maybe. Possibly matches, a torch, a couple of black bin bags, a couple of toilet rolls, soap. Oven gloves and an oven proof dish if you plan any cooking - even if its only oven chips. Childrens favourite pillow cases or soft toys. Towels. A few pegs for wet costumes. Spare coat hangars, there are never enough. Favourite breakfast cereal if they are fussy about that.

Things for the car - gameboys or books, cassette tapes, snacks for them to nibble.

this is going to sound a bit paranoid, but after coming back with tummy bugs after SC hols, we fill the kitchen sink with Milton and dunk all the china, cutlery pots and pans before we use them. Likewise wipe all surfaces and the loo with antibac spray.

charliecat · 15/04/2007 12:34

Full cleaning kit[grin/ God, some holiday lol Having a coffee break, got clothes ready for kids so far..hmm doing well

MintChocChippyMinton · 15/04/2007 16:57

we often pack a couple of proper mugs just in case only poncey teacups are provided.
