Beamish - any comments on food/eating at Beamish?

We're planning to go tomorrow, and I'm only on here for next 10-15 mins, so any prompt replies appreciated.

Basically do we need to take sarnies (and shiver whilst eating them), or can you get decent but not too pricey food there?

Prob tto late (you clashed with life on mars, half of MN were watching TV! and the other half are arguing on the allergies thread) when we went we ate there which was ok but there were very big queues and had to wait for ages for a table.

Hiya! We had a fantastic time: it was a beautiful day so we took a picnic anyway. Last time I was at Beamish was about 20 yrs ago - it's changed a lot since then and was certainly a lot warmer!

It was hard work with a wheelchair though.

Glad you had a good day.Last time we went they were building a Masonic Lodge (I think thats what it was) near the sweet shop, was that done now?
