Any ideas where to bring a 7 month old baby, please!

Hi, I have 3 children aged 6, 4 and 4 months old. We're planning to go on holiday abroad in July. Youngest will be 7mo, and our biggest fear is proximity to a hospital in case of (God forbid) serious illness. We had been thinking of Menorca, but DH feels the best health care would be on the mainland should we need it, which I hope we won't!!!
Any ideas very much appreciated.

We have been to Menorca (punta prima) with children aged 3 and 1 at the time. We thought it was ideal for young children and will be going back this year.

Menorca is a big enough island to have a decent hospital, I would have thought. In fact, sometimes it's easier to get a good service in a smaller town. I'm from northern Spain and last time we were there we took my English nephew to the small local hospital for suspected appendicitis and my SIL was amazed at how quickly and efficiently they were seen.

Anywhere you go in Spain you will find that it's very child-friendly, but don't be surprised if people come to coo at your baby and give it a big sloppy kiss all the time!

Oh, and if you want to go to the mainland after all, I have information about cottages in northern Spain in the small business ads section.

What about taking a 3mth old away to somewhere warm in January eg. Sharmel Sheikh is it wise?possible?will he have had the correct jabs by then? Is there any more appropriate destinations other than the canaries?
