Lisbon/Cascais in winter

DP and I want to go away for a big anniversary, but it's in sodding December!

Is it enjoyable going to Lisbon at this time of year? We'll be self-catering through Airbnb and will mainly want to wander about, sample cafes and restaurants, go to galleries and go to Cascais at least once for the Paula Rego museum. We're not averse to spending some days or parts of days in the flat if the weather is truly rotten or we're just feeling lazy. Up for chilly walks on beaches as well.

I'm assuming we'd at least be able to find a cosy cafe and stuff down some pastel de nata and hot chocolate. Grin

No idea what it’s like in December - I’ve only been in Summer but so much to do and see if you like galleries and museums, it sounds blissful.

Don’t miss the Gulbenkian.

Cascais has lots of little museums and old houses to look round too. You won’t be bored.
