Hi
Help please. I'm taking my husband away for a few days for his (special) birthday. We have never both been away from kids before. I'm struggling with how and when to tell my 6 yr old daughter! Any advice/suggestions would be very welcome. TIA

I would tell mine a few days, maybe a week before, and pitch it as her having a fun weekend sleepover adventure with xxxx (friend or relative who is looking after her). Daddy and I have to go somewhere as a boring aside.
She'll be fine!
