Corsica

I know it could be cold and rainy and half shut down... but we have four days in Corsica during October half term. I think we're going to stay in Porto Vecchio and if not, am thinking somewhere else in the south in the hope of better weather.

Anyway, am after any tips for activities for a family of four - DTs are five. They are pretty good walkers (can manage five/six miles if not all up hill).

Am hoping for beaches, walking, boat trips? Horse riding? Castles/historical stuff??

Thanks!

It'll be magnificent. Porto vecchio is a good shout for great beaches and good food, then a day trip to bonifacio for history and walled town. Weather dependent, boat fishing trip. Inland for walks.
The roads inland are not great so what looks like a short distance to e.g. Zonza can take hours and are very narrow/ windy so bear that in mind if anyone is carsick. We drove to Ajaccio this summer and didn't feel that the 2 hour drive was with it
Horse riding / north of Porto vecchio near st cyprien (my favourite beach)

Thank you! The magnificent sounds reassuring! Will check out the horse riding and will get my bum into action to book somewhere!
