We have to opportunity to stay locally (ie not camping) this year so we're thinking about the CFF. Has anyone been with kids aged 6 and 8? Is there enough to keep them occupied? Thanks

I've been before (without kids) and there is loads of stuff for them to do, loads of kids entertainment (the year I went there was a concert of the music from bagpuss, grownups had to stay at the back of the tent out of the way only the kids were allowed in!) and family stuff too. They will have a great time. Going this year with ds (currently 12 weeks).

SOH knows it far better than me, she'll be there wiht a tiny baby this year.

Hi, anyone planning to book tickets tomorrow? I used to work at the festival but haven't been since my ds1 was about 1 (I left him with dp) and ever since then I have been wanting to take my boys. I'm a little put off by the price and by the idea of staying with two little ones on my own so I'm partly looking for reassurance and partly for people to meet up with [pretty please?] ds1 5yo and ds2 will have just turned 3.

Not sure if I will get tickets in any case, as I will be on the train to Birmingham when the box office opens!
