I am going to Italy,some questions Verona Venice Lake Garda???

Ok we fly tomorrow and we are hiring a car, staying in a site near Sirmione.

We plan to go to Venice and Verona for a day each, need tips on parking or if it is best to take the train.

Might do a day to Garda Land, so any tips for that.

Any advice about taking a boat trip or ferry on Lake.

Any other good places to visit quiet, cultural or fun. Kids are 7 and 10 but love a bit of history (and swimming).

Well we got back on Sat and we had a lovely holiday. Thanks for all the tips esp Ellbell, we got the train from Desenzano at 13min past just as you said and the roads were crammed over the easter weekend especialy on the Monday, but we were prepared for it and just relaxed and drove off aimlessly to see where we would end up.

We managed to get all the way around the lake and even went so far into the Monte Baldo area that we found the road blocked by a snow drift, lakeside the temp was 26deg that day.

Had a day in Venice, tiring but worth it.

Day at Movieworld which we all enjoyed, its was very quite so the kids took part in loads of "filming" and shows.
