Paris to Narbonne for the car?

Has anyone put their car on the overnight train in Paris to Narbonne and then taken the passenger train themselves to meet the train at the end? I can't find prices yet or get an idea of how difficult it might be to travel between where you drop off the car and get the passenger train?

We've done Paris-Nice; drop off at Bercy then I think we took the underground to get our train. It seems that they run a shuttle between Narbonne passenger station and the auto train, but we went back to get our car the next day having spent the night in Nice and then made our own way to the train station to get the car.

If your train goes from Gare de Lyon then it is one stop on the metro or a short walk from Gare de Bercy where you drop the car off. The autotrain can be booked quite a long time in advance, and is cheaper the sooner you book it. The passenger train tickets will go on sale 90 days in advance (but again are cheaper the sooner you buy them). If you want to travel next summer, sometimes they put all summer train tickets on sale at the same time, so they may be released more than 90 days in advance.
