Accommodation in Cape Cod recommendations for Summer 2018

We've booked a 3 week post GCSE East Coast trip for July 2018 - DH, DD who will be 16 by then and I.

We'd like a week in Cape Cod as part of the trip, possibly sharing with my SIL and her 3 DCs who will be aged between 3 and 8.

Would love general recommendations for where to go that will suit a teen plus little DC plus specific recommendations of accommodation for 3 or 7.

The rest of our trip we are planning to do Boston first with a trip to Salem, possibly a bit more of New England and end up in New York for a short period at end - we have family there and are flying home from JFK. Again any inspirations welcome for where to stay/ what to do though New York we have been many times and will stay with family.

DD is a tricky travel companion and this is a bit of a compromise destination for us but as it's post GCSE and we've both wangled an extra week off work would like to do some memorable stuff. DD is more about crowds and wifi coverage than unspoilt wilderness!

Provincetown is lovely and fun. Falmouth we found too quiet. Had friends stay near Hyannis and it was good as it was Central.
