Mauritius with a toddler?

Has anyone been to Mauritius with a toddler? What did you think? Was there much for toddlers to do apart from the beach (mine would get bored of that).

I'm desperate for some winter sun and it's one of the few places on the no zika list. Plus the time difference isn't hideous and you can do might flights both ways.

I should say I have been before (for work) so have some idea of what it is like but this would be a very different kind of trip!

I did it with a 7 month old. Activities were not necessary. Hotel provided babysitting so we could have some free time.

It was fine. Like anywhere else, choose your hotel carefully and choose one that has toddlers' activities.

Thanks. Any other views?

Not with a toddler but older DCs, several times.
The hotels were superb, great service, lovely food and lots of activities included.
The downside is the 12 hour flight which is a killer. Definitely recommend BA over Air Mauritius though.
