France - good weather but not scorchio, holiday park/complex - not caravans

Sorry, I'm embarrassingly ignorant about France. I'm still trying to organise a holiday for a big family group aged 11-85 so lots of people to please:

Must be disabled friendly
Disabled person may not be able to fly so must be drivable from SE England
Some of us don't like unbearable heat so guaranteed good weather 70/80 ish degrees. Hot enough to swim outside but cool enough to walk around and do things
Activities/pool for kids

Thinking a nice holiday park or complex with cottages or lodges rather than caravans. Plenty of eating options nearby and things to do in the area. Does such a place exist? Seen lots of Eurocamp type places but not sure oldies will appreciate caravan. Center Parcs?

Suggestions welcome Smile

If you are going mid summer then you need to be in northern france or it really will be incredibly hot. what time of year is it that you are planning to go?

Wondering about Loire Valley. How reliable is weather there?

Anywhere south of Paris can be hot hot hot.

We have been to the loire in July/August and it's generally been decent weather - sometimes v hot but usually bearable.

Maybe head over towards the Vendee. Can be hot but if you are on the coast a sea breeze would be pleasant.

Saying that our first ever driving trip to France was to Northern Brittany and it was 50/50 rainy days and sun bathing days.

Basically you can't guarantee it.

Some areas have more of the holiday parks that would work for you. Vendee does I think.

Look at area around Saint Jean De Monts.

Loire Valley is usually 24-35 at that time of year (been spending the summer there since 2006). We had better weather there than down near La Rochelle this year.

Most sites in the area are static caravans though.
